If you only consider Kitzbühel in Tyrol to be a place for winter sports with the Hahnenkamm Race, you should come and see for yourself that the opposite is true – because the region has a truly impressive offering for mountain bikers. With its countless forest and meadow paths and more than 800 kilometres of tours, the Kitzbühel Alps are perfect for mountain bikers. They are also the starting point for the Tyrol Cycle Track, the longest continuous MTB route in the Alps with 32 stages and 1,000 kilometres. On the way you’ll pass countless chalets where you can stop for a bite to eat.
Anyone who likes a challenge should tackle the panoramic road on the Kitzbühel Horn. One section is considered to be the steepest cycling mountain in Austria – but don’t worry because there’s also an easier route. A further treat: as part of the largest e-bike region in the world, Kitzbühel also has countless rental and battery changing stations.
