The great Jogl One of the longest continuous cycle tours in Styria
"Der great Jogl" - that's 193 km, 5,400 metres of altitude, 2-4 stages, 11 communities & 1 tour - making it one of the longest continuous cycle tours in Styria. It takes you right through the Joglland-Waldheimat region in eastern Styria, including a top luggage service.
The great Styrian MTB multi-day tour takes you along forest and meadow paths, forest roads and varied road sections to the most beautiful places and highest peaks in the region. The start and end point is the market town of Vorau, but it is also possible to start from any other place. "The great Jogl" takes you through all 11 municipalities of the Joglland - Waldheimat region. You can divide up the 193 km into two, three or four stages or even individual sections.
The classic route takes 4 days: From Vorau to St. Jakob im Walde (55 km / 2,150 metres in altitude), then on stage 2 to Fischbach (54 km / 1,550 metres in altitude), on stage 3 from Fischbach to Wenigzell (39 km / 600 metres in altitude) and the last part of the tour on day 4 over 45 km and 1,080 metres in altitude back to the starting point in Vorau. As well as the Hochwechsel - the highest point of the tour at 1,743 metres - you will also climb the Arzberg, the Pretul and the Masenberg. Highlights along the way include the Trailland Miesenbach, regional inns and rustic mountain huts.
