Gentle and soft is the hilly landscape around the Wilder, Zahmer and Niederer Kaiser. On a mountain bike holiday in Tyrol, you pass many alpine pastures, farms and small lakes beautifully scattered in throughs and on hills. The relatively short stages on the 3-Kaiser Tour guarantee plenty of time for enjoying the beauty of the Tyrolean Lowlands. Leisurely mountain biking on the highest level; after all – noblesse oblige!
Day 1: Individual arrival in Walchsee
Arrival for the 3-Kaiser Tour in Tyrol and occupation of the rooms.
Day 2: Walchsee - Erpfendorf, approx. 28 km, 602 altitude metres
Walchsee - Horaualm - Niederbichl - Gasteig - Kirchdorf - Erpfendorf
Starting in Walchsee, this stage leads along a wide side road. The route is initially flat and then gets more challenging until reaching the Ottenalm. This is followed by a short carry passage uphill to the Horaualm in 1.016 metres above sea level. You reach the valley bottom again after an easy but rewarding downhill ride. If you want to avoid the ascent and pushing your bike, then you can bike directly from Walchsee to Niederbichl. Once arrived in Niederbichl, you follow the cycle track to Gasteig and continue then to Kirchdorf and Erpfendorf.
Day 3: Erpfendorf - Fieberbrunn, approx. 31 km, 429 altitude metres
Erpfendorf – through the Pillerseetal Valley to Lake Pillersee – Lake Wiesensee - Pfaffenschwendt - Fieberbrunn
The second day starts on an easy cycle track and wide gravel paths to Waidring. You cycle through the Pillerseetal Valley to Lake Pillersee. From here, slightly ascending byways lead along the picturesque east shore. You reach Lake Wiesensee and Pfaffenschwendt shortly after. From here, follow the railway track on a well-developed gravel piste, which is slightly descending and guarantees a beautiful panoramic view to Fieberbrunn.
Day 4: Fieberbrunn - Scheffau, approx. 35 km, 497 altitude metres
Fieberbrunn - Hochegg - Mühlau - Mühlbach - St. Johann in Tirol - Going - Ellmau - Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser
The mountain bike route leads initially to Rosenegg from where a slight ascent takes you uphill to the Hochegg (896 m). From here you can race downhill for a bit until your reach Mühlau. Continue via Wall to the cycle track in the valley bottom, which will take you directly to Mühlbach (730 m). You then bike on the cycle track to St. Johann in Tirol. The well-signposted route in hilly terrain leads via Going and Ellmau to Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser.
Day 5: Scheffau - Walchsee, approx. 42 km, 884 altitude metres, individual departure
Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser - Kufstein - Walchsee
The last stage starts with an ascent from Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser to the Kaiseralm in 1.146 metres above sea level. Follow the gravel path downhill to Lake Hinterstein. Continue to bike along the north shore of the lake. This is followed by a steeply ascending gravel road. A short carry passage downhill to Egerbach and you are already in the Inntal Valley and almost in Kufstein. You then bike on the wide cycle track and the gravel roads through the valley bottom. This is followed by a slight ascent back to the starting point in Walchsee. You can avoid the many altitude metres via Lake Hinterstein by taking the alternative route from Scheffau at the valley bottom directly to Kufstein. Return of the luggage by 5.30 pm at the latest.

Leisurely tour through beautiful scenery. Mainly on forest paths and side roads, no technical chalenges. The 3-Kaiser Tour is perfect for mountain bike tour novices.
