Roman Erlacher, your host, is one of the pioneers and veterans in the world of mountain biking in South Tyrol. His enthusiasm will inspire even couch potatoes to perform great things on a bike. By his side and also on his bike as often as possible: his son Thomas. The charming hotel run by the Erlacher family is located in St. Vigil in Enneberg, a small mountain village at 1,200 metres above sea level in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. At the foot of the Kronplatz you’re surrounded by the Dolomites and unspoilt nature. You wouldn’t actually need much else here but there’s still no shortage of amenities. The lovingly run hotel has many places to withdraw and enjoy the alpine chic style and the best alpine wellness and regional South Tyrolean specialities from kitchen chef Sebastiano and his gourmet team.
The main course consists of delicious mountain bike & road bike tours, 600 km of trails and 5 guided MTB tours per week – all served by hotel manager Roman and guides from the St. Vigil Bike School. Follow this with a biking dessert of wellness, Rasul baths and hay baths, a pool and sauna landscape, as well as a relaxation and fitness area.

He knows the cosiest huts for a stop and can give you one or the other insider tip for the area around the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park.

Nach einer kurzen Anfahrt über den Fitness Parcours von St.Vigil führt die Schotterstraße in moderater Steigung über mehrere Kehren Richtung Val Fojedöra. Nach der 2. Kehre ab der Schranke (1.600 hm) nach knapp 5 km hat man den höchsten Punkt – den Einstieg in den Tail Nr. 19 – erreicht. Da der Trail immer wieder die Straße kreuzt, sieht man ihn schon bei der Auffahrt. Die Knieschoner sicherheitshalber angezogen, kommt nun die verdiente Abfahrt – ein wunderschöner flowiger Trail. Der Einstieg ist noch ein wenig knifflig, jedoch dann kann der Spaß beginnen. Der Trail mündet später in den 19A, und schließlich gelangt man wieder auf die Mautstraße. Nun führt 13 Kilometer weit eine schmale, asphaltierte Mautstraße in den Naturpark Fanes-Sennes zur Pederühütte. Vorbei an lieblichen Almen, die von hohen Felswänden umrahmt werden, radelt man leicht bergauf. Nach der Einkehr in der Pederühütte, dem Ausgangspunkt zu den großen Dolomitentouren, rollt man jetzt allerdings entlang der Straße auf einem sanften Singletrail zurück nach St.Vigil. Dieser Trail ist fantastisch zu fahren - nie steil, nie schwer, macht richtig Laune. Natürlich gibt es Wurzelpassagen, grobschottrige Stellen, ein paar kleine Stufen, aber hier lernt auch der weniger geübte Trailfahrer perfekte Fahrtechnik.
