Roman Erlacher, your host, is one of the pioneers and veterans in the world of mountain biking in South Tyrol. His enthusiasm will inspire even couch potatoes to perform great things on a bike. By his side and also on his bike as often as possible: his son Thomas. The charming hotel run by the Erlacher family is located in St. Vigil in Enneberg, a small mountain village at 1,200 metres above sea level in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. At the foot of the Kronplatz you’re surrounded by the Dolomites and unspoilt nature. You wouldn’t actually need much else here but there’s still no shortage of amenities. The lovingly run hotel has many places to withdraw and enjoy the alpine chic style and the best alpine wellness and regional South Tyrolean specialities from kitchen chef Sebastiano and his gourmet team.
The main course consists of delicious mountain bike & road bike tours, 600 km of trails and 5 guided MTB tours per week – all served by hotel manager Roman and guides from the St. Vigil Bike School. Follow this with a biking dessert of wellness, Rasul baths and hay baths, a pool and sauna landscape, as well as a relaxation and fitness area.

He knows the cosiest huts for a stop and can give you one or the other insider tip for the area around the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park.

Unvergleichlich schöne Landschaft, teils leicht zu fahrende Militärstraßen, teils grober Schotter, zauberhafte Einkehrstationen – die Fanes Naturpark Runde ist eine Tour der Superlative für konditionsstarke Biker. Die Fanes Naturpark Runde führt von St.Vigil über die schmale Mautstraße 13 Kilometer sanft bergauf zur Pederü Hütte im Fanes Naturpark. Dann geht es zur Sache - eine zum Teil steile und recht grobe Schotterstraße führt zur gemütlichen Faneshütte. Nach einer kurzen Einkehr, führt die Schotterstraße weiter über das Limojoch und dem Limosee zur großen Fanesalm. Dann geht es nicht minder grobschottrig bergab Richtung Cortina d’Ampezzo. Kurz vor dem Parkplatz Fiames zieht der erst asphaltierte, später steile Schotterweg bergauf zur Malga Ra Stua und weiter zur Senneshütte, die inmitten grandioser Dolomitenfelsen liegt. Glücklich über den geschafften Aufstieg und den gefüllten Magen, geht es Richtung Pederü. Über Schotter und Beton, vorbei an den Vodara-Vedla Hütten, geht es mit einer Neigung von 21% und zahlreichen Serpentinen auf einer Militärstraße aus dem 1. Weltkrieg zur Pederühütte. Dann folgt ein Schmankerl zum Abschluss – der gut fahrbare Waldtrail zurück nach St.Vigil.
