More than 90% of the landscape is wooded, characterised by dense forests, karstic plateaus and a natural network of trails. Slovenia's largest MTB trail centre has also been established around Kočevje: 14 trails of all levels of difficulty, from flowing to technically demanding, supplemented by practice areas and a pump track. Away from the centre, there are extensive tours through the forests, past clearings, abandoned farms and natural water features. Kočevsko is not a place for quick effects - but for mountain bike experiences that last.
