Over 20 kilometres of trails of all difficulty levels wind their way through the dense forests of Kočevsko – from flowing to technically demanding, from green to double black. Ideal for beginners – and history buffs – is the Veronika Flow Trail: the singletrack is named after Veronika of Desenice, the second wife of Frederick II of Cilli, who once lived at Friedrichstein Castle in Kočevsko. The well-designed bends and shaped undulations offer maximum riding enjoyment; a few faster sections also guarantee variety for more experienced riders.
