Bike holidays: South Tyrolean Wine Route - Tramin - Lake Kaltern
Mountain bike region in South Tyrol / Italy
Full of trails & sunshine
In this beautiful region, you can let off steam and also indulge yourself: there are tours with few metres of altitude as well as single trails that cover several kilometres and steep ascents. From tours alongside the Montiggl Lakes to sporty, extreme trails on the Roen with its breathtaking 14 km descent, everything is possible.
The sunny southern part of South Tyrol has a long biking season, namely from March to November. This means that the conditions on the trails are normally very good! And what can you do after sport? Bikers with tired legs sometimes need to enjoy a glass of wine. As the region is located directly on the South Tyrolean Wine Road and has a mild climate, olive trees, cypresses and palms, it’s almost predestined for fine wine pleasure. Tours through the vineyards and between blooming apple trees will make your day on the bike perfect.
The bike guides Armin and Davide are your contacts when it comes to biking. Their motto is: “Uphill on tarred and forest roads is a waste of altitude metres. We bike already when others are still stuck in snow.“
