Between the Dolomites, lakes and historic trails

Lake Levico forms the heart of this exceptional cycling destination in eastern Trentino. Together with Valsugana, Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa, San Martino di Castrozza and Val di Cembra, the region makes up the extensive Dolomiti Lagorai cycling area. More than 1,000 kilometres of off-road trails take you through forests, across alpine pastures and to mountain lakes with stunning views.

The combination of alpine scenery and a Mediterranean way of life is particularly appealing. Whilst the peaks of the Dolomites rise on the horizon, the region’s warm lakes invite you to cool off after your ride. The popular Two Lakes Circuit connects Lake Levico with Lake Caldonazzo and is one of the region’s most beautiful leisurely rides. From the saddle, you’ll experience the full diversity of Trentino: scenic panoramic routes, charming villages and a landscape that never ceases to delight, with its blend of lakes, mountains and Mediterranean flair.

In the footsteps of the Kaiserjäger

Those who prefer a more athletic challenge will find numerous trail highlights around Lake Levico. Particularly well-known is the Kaiserjäger Single Trail (7 km / 750 m elevation gain), which delights not only with its riding fun but also with its history. Along former military paths, an impressive panorama of the Valsugana lake landscape and the surrounding mountains unfolds before you.

But the region has much more to offer: the Pinè Plateau in Val di Cembra delights with rolling hills, vineyards and numerous lakes, whilst ambitious cyclists explore the wild landscapes of the Lagorai Mountains on secluded mountain tours. If you’re still craving more bike park action, you’ll find perfect conditions for flow, technique and adrenaline at the Canazei Bike Park. Because on an MTB holiday in the Lake Levico region, you’ll experience a mix of relaxed lakeside rides, historic trails and alpine challenges.
