It was actually my wife, Jasmin, who got me into mountain biking. She simply infected me with her passion for the sport! Biking has been an important part of my life since then; I have even accomplished the bike guide examination. Today, we both look after our biker guests at our See-Aktivhotel Regitnig - Hotel & Chalets. My absolute forte are technique trainings and tours with a view while Jasmin turns ladies and family tours into fun experiences. I also promote mountain biking at Lake Weissensee. I initiated the installation of the first official MTB trail at Lake Weissensee – of course with the unanimous consent of the property owners. There are currently 2 further trails in planning.
My favourite tour is the Bike & Hike Tour from See-Aktivhotel Regitnig - Hotel & Chalets to the Golz. We are the only ones who offer this combination. The tour is approx. 4 hours long and we initially start in direction Golz. The last section to the summit is taken on foot – once arrived at the top, you are rewarded with a stunning view to Lake Weissensee and across the entire region.
To me, mountain biking is a passion. I need it to compensate for my stressful everyday life. I also enjoy going on tours with my guests because many great friendships have developed from that.

Mountainbike Tour: Große Weissenseerunde
Ausgehend vom Weissensee Haus überqueren wir die Seebrücke und biegen an der Kreuzung rechts ab Richtung Neusach. Am Ortsanfang von Neusach biegen wir links ein, in Richtung Alm hinterm Brunn. Von dort führt uns der erste Anstieg gleich steil hinauf. Die Strecke führt an der "Mühlwand" vorbei (schöne Aussicht - Ostteil des Sees) bis kurz vor die Alm hinterm Brunn. Rechts, über den Sonnseitenweg, der in mittlerer Berghöhe verläuft, setzten wir den Weg fort. Wunderschöne Aussichtspunkte begleiten unsere Fahrt. Ein Höhepunkt ist die Durchquerung des Alemergrabens, der durch seine skurrilen Felsenwände auf sich aufmerksam macht (100m Schiebestrecke). Das Bründl im Graben lädt zu einem erfrischenden Schluck ein. An der Weggabelung (Techendorfer Alm MW8 od. Ostufer) fahren wir rechts. Von nun an geht es auf leicht gerölligem Terrain bergab. Dabei haben wir immer Sicht auf das Ostufer des Sees. Wir überqueren den Weißenbach und biegen links auf die Stockenboier Landesstraße ein. An der Kreuzung biegen wir rechts ab. Gleich danach kann man sich beim Gasthof Weißenbacher noch für den nächsten Anstieg stärken. Dieser Gasthof hat neben der kulinarischen Verpflegung auch eine Attraktion: "Die Steinerne Forelle vom Weissensee" (Fossil). Nach einer weiteren, kurzen Asphaltstrecke Richtung Farchtner See, biegen wir rechts ab auf die Fortstraße zur Bodenalm. In mittlerer Steigung führt uns der Weg entlang eines sehr idyllischen Almbaches. Über die Fischeralm (Einkehr & Service) und am Tscherniheim (Glasbläserdorf) vorbei erreichen wir die Bodenalm (Einkehr & Service). Nach einer Stärkung auf der Bodenalm (Almkäserei) fahren wir über ein steiles, technisches Teilstück abwärts bis zum "Paterzipf", einem der ruhigsten Plätze rund um den See. Nach einem kurzen Anstieg erreichen wir Unternaggl. Entlang der Seeuferstraße fahren wir zurück zum Weissensee Haus in Techendorf.
