Happy Birthday, EPIC Bike Park!

Let’s pop the corks and get those tyres rolling! The legendary EPIC Bike Park Leogang is celebrating its 25th anniversary from 24 to 26 July 2026. And with it, a quarter of a century of Alpine mountain biking and Austrian mountain biking history. After all, the bike park is not only regarded as a pioneer and trailblazer, but also as one of the most renowned bike parks in Europe.

It’s nothing new that celebrations take place in the ‘Home of Lässig’ and that mountain bikers from all over the world gather here. After all, here in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the World Games of Mountain Biking, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series and the GlemmRide Bike Festival Saaalbach take place every year – the legendary BikeFestival is even celebrating its 10th anniversary at the beginning of July.

But the real highlight awaits bikers and fans at the end of July, when the bike park’s 25th anniversary will be celebrated with a community event of the highest order – look forward to bike action, group rides, side events and a fantastic atmosphere at the (Leo)Gang Days! Naturally, the birthday boy – the EPIC Bike Park in Leogang – is pulling out all the stops. Party guests can look forward to fantastic surprises and new features not just over the weekend, but throughout the entire anniversary year:

• New trails for 2026: Gateway, Hangover, Back to the Roots and the T-LINE by GoPro
• The Gateway is the new, easy and flowing connecting trail from the Steinbergbahn middle station to the Steinberg Line, stretching over 0.6 km
• The challenging Hangover Trail offers experienced bikers a steep, fast ride through natural terrain, stretching 0.5 km with a 92-metre elevation gain, featuring extreme gradients, banked turns and natural jumps
• ‘Pure nature, just like in the old days’ is the motto of Back to the Roots: 1.3 kilometres of challenging trail deliver a genuine old-school freeride experience with the finest drops and jumps
• The medium-difficulty T-Line guarantees a rollercoaster ride over 1.3 km, featuring a 13-metre bridge that doubles as a 7-metre table – the only thing better is flying!
• The brand-new Skill Area in Fieberbrunn is perfect for bike newbies, ensuring fun whilst practising their technique
• New activities centred around the Streuboden Line – which only opened last year – and the Streubodenbahn
   

• Launched in 2001 as Austria’s first bike park with 4 lines
• 2026: 21 lines and trails – including several new trails in the anniversary year

Whilst you’re there, be sure to explore the most beautiful natural trails in the Alps in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn – from the Speedster, the official Downhill World Championship course at the Epic Bikepark Leogang, to the Salzburger naturboy AlteSchmiede Trail and Matzalm Trail, right through to the legendary Hacklberg Trail in Saalbach Hinterglemm. This flowing natural trail enjoys just as much cult status as the epic birthday boy and is regarded as one of the oldest, most beautiful and most legendary trails in the Alps. A unique tour along the Hinterglemm Promenade covers 5.5 km and 600 metres of elevation gain, partly along exposed sections across the typical Pinzgau grassy mountains – with views of the Kitzsteinhorn, the Hohe Tauern, the Steinernes Meer and the Leoganger Steinberge. Now that’s what you call a great supporting programme for the (Leo)Gang Days!
