Georg – the manager of Bikeguiding Zugspitz Arena – and his guides take guests from the Ehrwalderhof on guided tours through the Zugspitz Arena six times a week. The region offers the finest trails and tours – it’s not for nothing that it has already been awarded the title of MTB top spot several times. The sporting motto of the hotel is: “You just have to keep up on a sporting level – we can take care of the rest”. So – do you accept the challenge?
The small hotel on the sunny side of the Zugspitze impress with its informal flair and Tyrolean cosiness. Bike Trail Tirol Etappe Ehrwald - Scharnitz
Die Etappe mit 40 km und 1.000 Höhenmetern verläuft meist auf gut ausgebauten Fahrwegen oder asphaltierten Nebenstraßen. Zunächst radelt man leicht ansteigend bis zur Talstation der Ehrwalder Almbahn. Von hier aus fahren wir immer aufwärts auf der Route Nr. 813 bis zur Ehrwalder Alm (Einkehrmöglichkeit). Alternativ kann man die Gondelbahn benutzen.
Von der Ehrwalder Alm geht’s aufwärts entlang dem Hauptweg. Nach zwei Kehren erreicht man den höchsten Punkt auf 1.600 m Seehöhe. Kurz danach hält man sich an der markanten Abzweigung zur Seeben Alm links Richtung Leutasch (551). Bei einem Abstecher zur Tillfuss Alm oder Gaistal Alm wird man mit einem eindrucksvollen Blick auf die steil abfallenden Nordwände der Mieminger Kette belohnt. Wir radeln den Hauptweg entlang durch das Gaistal, vorbei an der Mautstelle bis in den Leutascher Ortsteil Plaik. Hier die Brücke überqueren und nach Obern fahren, orientiere dich am „Hotel Bergland“. Nun geht es über die nächste Straße Richtung Leutasch/Oberweidach.
Der Weg führt bald in den Wald und man überquert eine Straße, danach geht’s links in einen Waldweg. Ab hier folgen wir immer den Schildern „539 Mooserweg Seepromenade“ bzw. „Leutasch Weidach“. Nach dem Passieren des Weidachsees erreichen wir die Hauptstraße. Dieser folgt man etwa 350 Meter und zweigt dann gleich wieder rechts ab. Nun folgt ein Anstieg im Wald über 200 Höhenmeter und eine Abfahrt durchs Fludertal bis zur Straße. Man fährt kurz in nördliche Richtung bis man auf die Straße nach Scharnitz abzweigt. Kurz vor der Bundesstraße zweigt man links in die Wiesen bei Giessenbach ab und radelt die letzten Kilometer zum Etappenziel nach Scharnitz (1,5 h ab Leutasch Weidach).
