The ‘new’ mountain bike hotel in a class of its own: under the name ‘DIPS&DROPS’, the venerable Tauernhof in Flachau is coming to life again. What skiing is in winter, mountain biking is here in summer - no wonder, as the Tauernhof, which opened in the early 1970s, has been a mountain bike hotel for over thirty years. This new start - with a preopening in December 2024 - not only brings a new name but also an even more specific focus on mountain bike holidays. DIPS&DROPS - derived from the English names of two off-piste passages on the bike trail or freeski sections in open terrain - promises a closer connection between people with the same passion: mountain adventure.
Active families with kids from the age of ten will find everything they need here, as will seasoned bike pros. The location also scores extra points: DIPS&DROPS is situated directly on the Enns cycle path, just 20 minutes from the Reiteralm trails, and at the entrance to the Stoneman Taurista, as well as the starting point for 40 mountain bike and e-bike tours of varying levels of difficulty in the heart of the Salzburger Sportwelt. If that's not enough, you can let the hotel's own guides take you to the region's hot spots or try out the test bikes in the hotel's own Haibike test centre.

Biking is no longer just a theme at Bike Hotel DIPS&DROPS, it's a central focus for the entire Flachau region. The network of bike routes is constantly expanding and improving. Since 2018, Flachau has been the starting point for Roland Stauder’s 123-kilometer-long Stoneman Taurista, featuring 4,500 meters of altitude. Our bike hotel offers a pick-up service for those embarking on the multi-day Stoneman tours. Some classic tours include the Frauenalm and the Wagrain Bike Park. Additionally, Bike Night Flachau, a spectacular floodlight biking event, is held every August.
