The bike tours are the centrepiece of every “Mountain Bike Holidays” - holiday. There are up to 100 tours per region available.
The trained bike guides go about satisfying the wishes of mountain bikers in different ways. They tell you about safety and biking technique, and lead you on the best trails, to the nicest mountain huts, and to the best viewpoints.
Mountain bikers who don’t want to take part in a guided tour can still benefit from the insider tips from the “local heroes”, as well as the detailed maps and GPS rental. GPS is an important help in addition to a map when planning tours and for orientation in the mountains. The concept is simple and ingenious. There are over 100 GPS day tours, starting very close to the hotels, that can be downloaded from the “Mountain Bike Holidays” website. You can then set off under your own steam, without a guide and without a group. There are GPS units to rent in all “Mountain Bike Holidays” accommodation marked with five cogs. In accommodation marked with three or four cogs, please refer to the hotel description as to whether GPS units are available or not.
