"A holiday with like-minded people ": We bid you welcome to the "Schönruh"!
“We” being 2 families and the lovely “Schönruh Team” and of course the guides from Zugspitz guiding. We are fit and ready for all mountain bikers; we have been keen mountain bikers for about 15 years, and have been a member of Mountain Bike Holidays for 10 years.

Karyn (boss) and Anja – With you with heart and soul, and on the mountain bike several times each week in the fantastic and varied mountain environment of the Zugspitz Arena. We are not only responsible for the smooth reservation process, the comprehensive information, and the well-being of our guests, but we also know the feeling of happiness when you finally get “up there” after strenuous climbs, and can marvel at the wonderful mountain views. Stopping off at one of the Alpine inns for refreshment makes it doubly good!

We grew up in Ehrwald and know the Zugspitz Arena and its leisurely tours and single trails, but also the tough, sweat inducing climbs to the huts and Alpine inns and love to share our experiences with our bikers. We have plenty of vertical metres under our belts: the guides from Zugspitz Guiding, with the bike boss Georg, bike thousands of kilometres between April and November and know all the tracks, trails, nicest refreshment stops, and hidden secrets of their home area. All of them have their own personalities and take the different ability groups, from beginner to crack or downhill freak; our guests are always thrilled.

At the end of a great bike day, you can meet together over the afternoon buffet and a freshly tapped Weizenbier or a cappuccino in the panorama room, or on the sun terrace in nice weather, with its splendid view of the mountains, talking over the day together and with the guides. It’s always fun chatting with people with the same interests. Georg is in the hotel after dinner pretty much every day and will give information and tips, and will happily spend time chatting with all of the "Schönruh" biking guests. It then gets funny when he shows videos and photos taken during the week. Some guests are really ready to be filmstars! You’ll love it!

As mountain biking has become more and more popular in recent years and young people are already accomplished bikers, they also bike with us in the different groups of ability. There’s always a suitable group for everyone. We go by the motto “learning by doing”. The young guides from “Zugspitz Guiding” won’t let anyone get bored. It can often be the case that the children are the ones overtaking the parents!
