Daniele, Amedeo, Ivo and Maurizio are the four Hotel Cristallo biking enthusiast brothers. As hotel owners, every member of the Acler family has a role in inspiring our guests on two wheels, whether with or without engine!

Daniele is an absolute bike freak. At the age of seven, cycling was simply not enough for him. He wanted to tackle his first climbs on his “mountain bike”. The successes of Francesco Moser, one of the most successful Italian racing bikers of the 70s and 80s, inspired Daniele and gave him his enthusiasm for the sport of biking.

From February through to November he is on the saddle and no Hotel Cristallo tour escapes him. The ladies especially fall for his Italian charms. They Hotel Cristallo has a special permit, in the event of incidents or technical trouble, to reach biking guests by trial bike to offer help on the mountain and in the woods.

As well as his passion for mountain biking, Daniele is a proud member of the voluntary fire brigade and the local sports club “GS Vigili del Fuoco”.

If time allows, he likes to put his fitness to the test by taking part in competitions. He has over 100 bike races behind him and is especially proud of his fourth place in the Italian championships.
