Your host, Thomas, can give you lots of tips about his home area. Anja too loves exploring the area by bike. Our local guides will professionally guide you through the region.
YOUR Bikehotel in Grindelwald, run by Thomas Stettler
I could be described as a full-blooded host. The Parkhotel Schoenegg is a family business and this is our 118th year of business. We live a modern tradition and have invested heavily for the future recently, and working with “Mountain Bike Holidays” since 2006 is part of this.
For years I have explored our breathtaking region by mountain bike, crossed passes, and discovered one or two insider tips. Five years ago I then discovered dogs, and my free time is mostly taken up with our border collie Tschingel. I am very happy though to give advice and suggest special tours at any time.
Our guiding is done by local, qualified mountain biking professionals. The team offers three tours each week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) in two different ability groups. The local mountain sports professionals will not only accompany you on the various tours in the Jungfrau region, but will also be happy to join you socially. All tours lead down to the Parkhotel Schoenegg.
The meetings, every Sunday evening for a welcome aperitif, are very popular and the numerous tips from Thomas, who runs the hut, and bike guide Becka are a welcome start to an unforgettable mountain biking week.
The Bike Arena
160 km of marked mountain bike routes winding through the spectacular scenery of Grindelwald. There’s the right tour to everyone here, easy, extreme, leisurely, sporty, from a family tour to an 88 km marathon tour. You can perfect your technique in the bike course, take a lift to the summit, never lose your orientation thanks to GPS and excellent maps, or take part in one of the guided tours. He trained bike rides lead, explain, give tips, and reveal highlights.
Biking here, surrounded by our world famous panorama, is exciting for any biker. We look forward to your visit.
