Hans-Peter and Irmgard Eder – We are the fourth generation running the Hotel Regitnig, and our motto reads: “you come here as a guest, and leave as a friend”.

Your mountain bike holiday here at the Weissensee begins with a friendly get-together on Sunday evening. Peter, as everybody calls him, will explain the tours in the Weissensee area to you, with the help of detailed maps, and will let you in on his insider tips and answer questions, ending with a relaxed glass of wine.

We entrust our biking guests to Mario, the qualified mountain bike trainer from the Sattlegger Sports School. From 1990 to 1994 he was a MTB school racer, and came sixth. Today he looks after the bikers staying at our hotel with plenty of flair and sensitivity for the group, and will show you the Weissensee, the Gailtal and the Gitschtal, and also the Drautal where he lives and which knows exceptionally well.

For bikers who still want to learn something, the riding technique seminar will be right up your street. The seminar is followed by a taster tour, enabling you to apply what you have learned straightaway. The fabulous backdrop of the Karawank and Kreuzeck mountains with lots of friendly alpine inns gets every biker excited. There are 800 km of marked mountain bike routes of different standards, from leisurely tours to sporty highlights.

And, you can finish off with a swim in the crystal clear water of the Weissensee lake, that reaches a temperature of 24° in the summer.

You need a good food after an active day, and Irmgard and her team in the kitchen looks after that. A light cuisine, with local produce and herbs from our own garden, combined with a good portion of love in its preparation, is how we spoil our guests in a culinary way.

Of course, this has to be accompanied by a quality wine from our selected wine list.
