Dominik’s introduction

As a “homecomer”, I have taken on the management and responsibility of Sport and Wellness. I look forward to accompanying many new, and also familiar, faces in the sport programme as a qualified bike guide, ski and snowboard instructor, health trainer, fitness supervisor, and hiking guide. The mountains and the sport associated with them have played an important part in my life ever since childhood. My father was able to motivate me to do cross-country skiing in winter and mountain biking in the summer. In the end, my enthusiasm was so great, that I chose to go to the Ski Grammar School in Stams at the age of 14, where I benefited from the best training conditions. During my time there, I achieved many successes, and saw much of the world.

For health reasons I had to step back from top level competitive sport, unfortunately, but not from sport in general. So, I began to work in Sölden as a ski and snowboard instructor. It was then, after training to be a hiking guide and health trainer that I realised that my attitude to sport was a more healthy one.

My home area is a region of superlatives:
The highest panorama road, the largest waterfall, the most beautiful alpine crossing, the most mountains over 3000 m, the warmest mountain lake, the most famous original inhabitant. The 28 tours here stretch over 687 km and 24,465 vertical metres. With our new, unique Energy Balance Studio, we break down the bridges between bike and wellness or effort and relaxation. We offer the perfect conditions for efficient training: different levels, health check with energy balance applications and therapeutic relaxation opportunities, to help you gain advantages in competitions in your own bike season.
