The Bike Academy in the hotel with its tour guides for summer 2011 will show you the nicest tours and trails. From left to right: Anna (sport educationalist), Claus (tour freak), Andreas (bike host), Ludwig (trail freak), Karin (MTB guide), Kurt (boss of the Bike Academy, technical trainer for Lisi Osi, XC world cup champion), and Dave (mechanic).

Our hotel was one of the first in the Kitzbühel Alps to recognise that mountain biking was not just a fad. We have now been a “4 cog” member of Mountain Bike Holidays for nine years. Andreas Hauser, who runs the hotel, is a qualified bike guide and can rightfully call himself a pioneer when it comes to mountain biking. He knows countless racy single trails, knows where the best huts are with the best Kaiserschmarrn, and will show you the best view points to take your photos.

When he’s not in his bike, he has to check that everything’s running smoothly in the hotel and wields the ladle in the kitchen! He conjures up, together with the kitchen team, new dishes specially for bikers’ tastes.

To complete what we offer, the in-house Bike Academy offers a diverse weekly programme. The Bike Academy boss, Kurt, together with his guides Claus, Anna, Ludwig, Karin, and Manfred, lays on something for everyone.
The MTB week usually begins on Monday with a training session on riding technique so you can get to grips with the most important basics and tips to ensure safe riding. During the rest of the week you can choose daily from up to 3 different tours in 3 levels (light, medium, and extreme).
