My name is Günther and I’ve been a keen biker for 13 years, my preference being mainly tours with plenty of vertical metres. I am also a competitive bike enthusiasts, and have taken part in many well-known marathon races such as the Dolomiti Superbike, Kitzbike and Garmisch. I also know loads of routes and tours in Gröden, with speedy downhills and fantastic views of our Dolomites. Because of my job and training as a sommelier, I of course know the best huts and places for refreshment on the different tours. I would be pleased to explore our beautiful Dolomites with you by bike, and share some lovely experiences together. 

Gröden – Where holiday is a real pleasure
Surrounded by the imposing backdrop of the Dolomites, Gröden offers a wealth of mountain sports possibilities. Bikers also love the “pale mountains”, not just as a splendid backdrop for fabulous tours, but also for the steep uphills is and downhills, and the varied trails. There are all sorts of mountain bike routes in Gröden, for all abilities. Leisure bikers, active bikers, and summit stormers will all find what they are looking for. The dolomite passes have always been a huge challenge for bikers. The Sella Runde offers plenty of biking fun away from the roads, with simply amazing scenery. 

Sella Ronda Hero - 90 km and 4.200 vertical metres in the Dolomites!
This event is one of the hardest mountain bike races in Europe. The 90 km route, covering 4200 vertical metres, grants the title of HERO OF THE SELLARONDA HERO. The short route, 50 km with 2600 vertical metres, is for those who want to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage site). Four Dolomite passes in a day demand a good level of fitness and you have to pace yourself carefully. The annual “Sella Ronda Bike Day” is something really special. On this day the Sella, Grödner, Pordoi and Campolongo passes are closed to traffic, and only open to bikers.
