The AlpenParks Hagan Lodge is the new insider tip for mountain bikers. This holiday-hut village, located in the countryside, is the perfect place for a sporty or relaxed bike holiday.

The AlpenParks Hagan Lodge has been a member of “Mountain Bike Holidays” since 2010.

"1300 km of biking tracks and over 70 perfectly waymarked tours – that is the mountain bike region of Salzkammergut (Salzburg’s lake district). 4 guided tours in at least two ability groups are offered each week, right from the Hagan Lodge, together with the Salzkammergut Mountain Bike Centre”, says Alexander Kalss, a passionate mountain biker himself and your host in the hut-village, who knows the Ausseerland/Salzkammergut area like the back of his hand. “Of course, anything a biker could wish for can be found in the resort: a washing area, a bike garage, training and workshop sessions. Enjoy being led or accompanied by the guides through the Salzkammergut area and get to know the rides, towns and villages that you would otherwise never encounter.”

Leisure bikers and families will find a gentle woodland and pasture area with numerous easy routes. For those wanting to test themselves to the limit, there are demanding uphills and fast downhills. Set off equipped with tour tips and GPS data. Altaussee - Tressenstein - Grundlsee, the Dachstein tour with the World Cup circuit and lots more. From your Lodge you can go straight into the Salzkammergut Trophy World Cup route, or set off on a leisurely bike ride to Bad Ischl or surround the Salzkammergut lakes.

There is a summary of the tours available at reception and it is presented in detail by the bike guides. Before each tour there is a short training session on technique. The bike guides are well equipped when it comes to advice on training and performance diagnostics, and are available to you for help. As ALL of the guides are a local, they obviously not only know a lot about the biking on offer, but also our able to tell you a lot about the Salzkammergut area.

If your bike is having some problems after a somewhat demanding tour, you can do maintenance on it in our own bike workshop. You will find tools and relevant equipment there for you to use. You can obtain replacement parts, oil/grease, and cleaning substances from reception. Every large from the Luxury category has its own bike storage room.

Coming home is always even nicer after a “Power Day”. The holiday village, with its 46 holiday homes, at the foot of the Loser mountain is more than just a hut-village. 4 Star comfort in your own well-equipped holiday home, most with a private sauna in the property, promising a relaxing time after an active day. Quality of service is important to us, so there is, for example, breakfast delivery to the Lodges, providing you with a crispy fresh, energy-rich power breakfast. If you want, you can cook yourself, or if you want to be with other people, you can meet others with the same interests in the Dorfstube Restaurant.

If you haven’t used up all of your energy, then there’s still something more in the resort for you: the 6-course Outdoor Climbing Park with high ropes course is a must. It is the only one of its kind in Europe and was set up with particular attention to safety and being close to nature. Anyone can have a go, whether young or old, and whether an athlete or a leisurely nature lover.
