Dachstein tour This perfectly signposted mountain bike tour leads you around the mighty Dachstein Massif of the Upper Austria-Salzburg-Styria border triangle.

The Dachstein Tour Blue is ideal for getting started with the adventure of tour biking. Starting from the Inner Salzkammergut, the tour leads clockwise around the enormous limestone plateau. The majestic peak appears again and again while the route leads through the Ausseerland across the Viehbergalm into the vast Ennstal Valley. Stunning south walls open up on the way uphill into the Ramsau before entering the Salzburgian region. Leaving the serrated peaks of the Gosau Ridge behind, you cycle back to Lake Hallstatt.

1st day: Individual arrival in Bad Goisern
Room occupation and handing out of travel documents.

2nd day: 1st stage: 64 km, 1.900 metres in altitude
Bad Goisern - Bad Aussee - Bad Mitterndorf via Salza reservoir and Viehberg to Gröbming.
The route starts with an ascent to the Pötschen Pass right after Bad Goisern. Then is goes downhill at a racy pace in direction Bad Aussee. The route continues from Bad Mitterndorf uphill to the Viehbergalm, the highlight of the mountain bike tour. You roll through narrow bends and the stunning gorges downhill to Gröbming.

3rd day: 2nd stage: 66 km, 1.700 metres in altitude
Gröbming - through the Ennstal Valley to Ramsau - Filzmoos to Annaberg
The tour leads down to the River Enns and continues flat to Weißenbach. From there the route ascends to Ramsau am Dachstein. You follow the towering, mighty south walls of the Dachstein. The picturesque Filzmoos is reached at a leisurely pace. The ascent to the Langeggsattel should be taken slowly before arriving in Annaberg.

4th day: 3rd stage: 54 km, 1.500 metres in altitude, individual departure
Annaberg - Russbach across the old Gschütt Pass road to Gosau - Bad Goisern
You roll from the Lammertal Valley into the Lindenthal Valley at a leisurely pace. The Zwieselalm is reached by climbing a steep track. Let your eyes wander to the Gosau Glacier of the Dachstein. The downhill ride to Russbach leads across the piste. Back in the Salzkammergut you cross the Gschütt Pass. Via Gosau, you reach Lake Hallstatt and Bad Goisern quite quickly again. Collection of luggage by 5.30 pm at the latest.

The tour can be started from any overnight stay accommodation!

Requirements:
The Dachstein Tour Blue challenges the stamina but is not difficult physically. Perfectly signposted.
